Launching the wiki carnival on social media

If you are confused about blogs, wikis, tagging, RSS and what social media means for nonprofits and civil society ... or if you think you know a bit about the technology and its implications,  here's a chance to learn and share.
Today Michelle Martin and I are launching a Wiki Carnival to gather blog items and other resources that might bring a little enlightenment. There's an enormous amount of good stuff being written, podcast, videoblogged about these topics, but despite wonderful search tools it can be difficult to find. Social media knowledge needs some old-fashioned, hands-on editing to make it more accessible.
In order to do that, Michele and are running two linked wikis (that is, easily edited web sites). Michele's is the Web 2.0 in Nonprofits wiki and mine is the social media wiki.
We are inviting you to send send us your blog items and other resources - or questions. Detailed instructions here. Over the next week we'll gather material together and organise on the wikis, then maybe run another round to fill in the gaps.
My work on this has so far been funded by the NCVO ICT Foresight team, and the Glossary of social media I've written might trigger some thoughts about what to contribute. Here's the items I've covered in the long version. There's also a shorter version, and some background here.

Looks like we're off and running, David! And you've already started adding things with your previous post on Steve Bridger. Thanks!
